We’re proud to share that NOTUS, our remote control developed in close collaboration with YouSee, has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2025 in the Product Design category.
The NOTUS remote was created to accompany YouSee Audio, an all-in-one set-top box and speaker system combining TV and streaming services with Bang & Olufsen sound design. With user experience, aesthetics, and sustainability at the core of the project, the remote control was designed to match the sophistication of the hardware while elevating the overall entertainment experience.
The NOTUS remote control features a radial navigation pad for intuitive interaction, gloss-detailed function buttons for enhanced accessibility, and a dark color palette with engraved branding to reinforce premium visual identity. The product is built with recycled materials and designed with a focus on long-lasting quality, reducing environmental impact without compromising performance.
This win is a proud moment for all of us at t4h. It’s recognition not only of the final design, but of the values that shaped it—collaboration, usability, and sustainability.
Graça Cândido, Co-Founder and Commercial Director, t4h.That spirit of collaboration was key.
“Our ambition was to create a high-quality, premium remote control for YouSee Audio,” added Jannie Marie Kaarsberg, Head of Product & Portfolio Management and Innovation at YouSee. “Through strong collaboration with t4h., we succeeded in developing a remote that not only matches the YouSee Audio design language but also enhances the customer experience. We are proud of the final product and honored to win the Red Dot Award together.”
This award highlights the power of cross-industry collaboration and affirms NOTUS as a benchmark for functional, sustainable, and user-centric design in the connected home ecosystem.
